Has anyone or does anyone use these? If so how accurate are they and which one do you have....I use the salifert test kits but wanted something more accuate. Thanks
I had one on my sixty gallon but dropped a little bit of water on it. Now it reports my PH to be 11 which isn't correct. Oh well..the point I am making is don't get any water on it .
If your spending more than $60 bucks on one its too much... Go to a local Hydroponic store and they have them... They are very accurate and I love mine... You calibrate them, so they are as accurate as you make them.... They give you a solution that has an exact ph and your pen should read that or you can adjust it... Way more accurate than test tubes by far... People tend to lie to themselves with the test trips... I have a PH Wizard I bought for $40 at the HYdro store and It's worked for 3 years accurate...
I think the pinpoint is one of the better ones as well as milwaukee, I did not like the Reef Fanatic as I have one and seem to have to calibrate it every 2 weeks, it will start to show pH as 7.4 then after calib it shows 8.19, Ive even tried different probes from milwaukee with same results. My wifes mother has the same one and shows pH of 11.2 then after calib shows 8.24
I have the aqua controller jr with the temp and PH probes, I love it, and it's super easy to calibrate, a little more pricey than just a ph monitor but very very handy piece of equipment to have!
