Just got back from vacation. Flew to Bukarest in romania then Brasov-vienna- Bratislava - Prag - Berlin - copenhagen - gothenburg and then Stockholm.
Was à bit worried that i would loose some corals but all sps has been growing pretty well actually!

Will be adding pictures tomorrow

This picture shows what has happenned with the hysterix during my three weeks of travelling, is it okey for a newbie sps reefer?

Amazing growth!

I dont know about that, have no reference since this is my first try with sps. I like the growth pictures tough, it shows that im doing something right and keeps me working with it :)

The first picture is day 1 or 2. The second which i have already shown is about 1 month later. And the third after two months in the tank.

The digitata was only about one inch (2.5 cm) when i got it, so its not spreading so fast but i think it has doubled in size

On the second picture in the upper right corner you can also see a pavona fragg coming back from the dead. Think it was dead when i got it or it died very fast, but a week ago i saw some tissue on it never seen before.

Tjena!

Hello Johan i had completely missed your thread here! Looking good and its nice to se my frags do so well! The one in post #30 is one i call "ORA frogskin", ofcourse it is not ORA since we don't have that in sweden, but i think it is the same species ... maybe?

Also, picture #3 in post #25, i have a bigger one that is a stunning baby blue in my tank now. How is your frag doing?

I have a freebie for you, a A. Yongei u can have for a beer when i get back from vacation :)

Tja!
Think ut is a frogskin. But im bad at names. The tips of it where more round when i got it ( the first picture) but now they look different, do you know why?

The blue one has not shown any growth, maybe i placed it to far down. Ill post a picture later toonight.

The brown one i got from you has more yellow/green polyps at the base, not sure if growing.

I think the "frogskin" does not receive enough flow. That tends to make the branches thin.

The blue one loves high light and low nutrients. It positively glows electric blue when one meets its demands.

I see, thanks.
Any suggestions about the "brown one"? I havent decided where to place that one, its still standing on the bottom.

This is how my SPS are placed. The Monti caps are not marked out but you can see them for yourself.

The lighting output is as follows, i only run at 65% of max output. (Timer 1 includes channel 1 & 5) and the led is about 15cm above the surface.
.

channel 1 - 33*0,68 = 22,44W - 10000K with red phosphor coated x 20 chips Timer 1
Channel 2 - 33*0,95 = 31,35W - 455nm Royal Blue x 20 chips Timer 2
Channel 3 - 33*0,84 = 27,72W - 420nm x 10 chips + 430nm Violet(UV) x 10 chips Timer 3
Channel 4 - 33*0,93 = 30,69W - 445nm Royal Blue x 20 chips Timer 4
Channel 5 - 33*0,95 = 31,35W - 15000K with red phosphor coated x 20 chips Timer 1

Tot - 142,55W

Running at 65%

Tot - 93,3W Max
