Would it be possible to dilute concentrated -NP Pro for use in a dosing container? I have a decent supply of the concentrated version that I don't want to waste.
I know with other carbon sources (vinegar and vodka) if you dilute them they will lose their antibacterial property (concentrated vinegar and vodka inhibit bacterial growth in the dosing container). I'm not sure if there is something different in the formula of the concentrated vs diluted -NP Pro.
If dilution would be okay here is my calculation. One drop of water is roughly equal to 0.05mL. So 10mL of -NP Pro would contain about 200 drops of product. Since the diluted version contains 5mL/100L and the concentrated version is 1 drop/100L I would be able to multiply the 200 x 5mL for a final volume of 1000mL or 1L. So basically the dilution would be 10mL of concentrated -NP Pro with 9990mL of RO/DI water. Would this work?
