Dilute concentrated -NP Pro?

Would it be possible to dilute concentrated -NP Pro for use in a dosing container? I have a decent supply of the concentrated version that I don't want to waste.

I know with other carbon sources (vinegar and vodka) if you dilute them they will lose their antibacterial property (concentrated vinegar and vodka inhibit bacterial growth in the dosing container). I'm not sure if there is something different in the formula of the concentrated vs diluted -NP Pro.

If dilution would be okay here is my calculation. One drop of water is roughly equal to 0.05mL. So 10mL of -NP Pro would contain about 200 drops of product. Since the diluted version contains 5mL/100L and the concentrated version is 1 drop/100L I would be able to multiply the 200 x 5mL for a final volume of 1000mL or 1L. So basically the dilution would be 10mL of concentrated -NP Pro with 9990mL of RO/DI water. Would this work?

+1. It seems to me that the dosing amount for 50mL diluted in 2L of water would change to 2mL/100L correct?

2L / 50ml =40 , 0.05ml (1 drop) x 40 =2 ml / 100L

Why is 5ml / 100L??? Can you explain... :rolleye1::rolleye1::rolleye1:

Sorry to press the point but calculating it out if we dosed 5mL/100L of 50mL concentrated -NP Pro diluted into 2L of RO/DI water that would mean we are dosing 2.5x (basically like adding 2.5 drops of concentrated/100L) the recommended dose. Am I missing something here?

Here it is calculated again:
One drop of water is equal to 0.05mL
so the concentrated version dosing is .05mL/100L (instead of 1 drop/100L)

This would mean that a 50mL bottle of concentrated -NP Pro contains 1000 doses (per 100L). If we dilute that into 2L total solution we will need to divide by 1000 doses to get the mL/100L. 2000mL/1000doses(per 100L)=2mL/100L

You guys that are dosing this way versus drops - hows it working out?
I was thinking to give this way a try & just dose thru night hours.
Does the mix seem to stay mixed properly or did you get yo yo-ing with your no3 levels?
