Diluting B ionic for dosing pump...HELP can you do this?

My small 40 gallon tank needs about 10ml per day of part a and part b B-ionic.

Some of the best dosing pumps, including the spectra-pure will dose a MINIMUM of 1 ounce per day (that's 30 ML). Could I take an amount of b-ionic and dilute it with water (RODI) in a large container, and then do the math to have the dosing pump put in 10ML of B-ionic. I would do this separately for part A and part B, and keep them separate. Does anyone do this? what do you think?

As it is appears now, the Spectra-pure does a minimum of 50Ml per day. That would mean the smallest tank it could dose b-ionic would be200 Gallons (1ml of b ionic per 4 gallons of water). This doesn't seem right. What am I calculating wrong?

Anyway, can the B-ionic be combined with water and remain stable and usable for a period of time?

Thanks

Rich, if you were to buy the gallon units of B-Ionic, you'd notice they are concentrated and have to be diluted with RO water. It doesn't affect the shelf life of the product at all. I like B-Ionic, but now use Randy's 2 part Recipe (more cost effective). I use a LM3 for top-off and dosing Ca and Alk. I pump a distance of 40 feet to my tank, so I dilute 9:1 just to minimize line blockage. It took a little trial and error to find the correct levels for my tanks. But with a few rounds of testing and dosing, I'm sure you can find the proper amount of diluted B-Ionic as well. Again, I've used and like B-Ionic. But when you have time, check the Chemistry forum. You can make the equivalents at home for a fraction of the cost.
