Dino on sand

I believe I have Dino on my sandbed. I did a 3 day black out and it went away for a few weeks. That was until I did a water change and lighting siphoned the surface of my sandbed. Now this stuff is back on my sandbed and my back glass. Those are the only 2 spots I have it. Can I just suck out the sand that has the stuff and replace with new sand? How can I get rid of this stuff?

This is what it looked like before. I can take a better photo when I get home tonight

Looks more like diatom growth to me..
You can siphon it out if you want but I wouldnt stir the sand too much at all..
IMO if you dont regularly stir the sand bed then you should just leave it alone
Its one of those things that you either do all the time or never...

Tanks been up for almost 2 years. Started from dry rock and sand and freshly made salt water. I started this from complete scratch.

Are your RODI filters good? I always run into these kinda issues when my filters get old and funny enough the more water changes I would do the worse it would get.

Let me know. Good clean water is always a key to most reefs success.
