any thoughts if reducing or eliminating the red's from my LED lights will help reduce Dino's?

couple people have suggested doing this but I can't find any information to back it up online?

thoughts?

I have serious doubts that it alone will solve the problem. But it could be a contributing factor. If you want to try it and have an led fixture with individual leds (rather than pucks) you can block off the red leds with black electrical tape and see if it helps. Either way, when you have solved the problem or decided that the red leds weren't the cause, you can remove the tape.

While there are many strains of Dinos, most can survive blackouts, so we think they are non-photosynthetic.

yeah i was skeptical about reduction of the red's fixing anything...

I've noticed they are turning more "whitish" then brownish now.. I haven't changed anything with the lighting.

Nitrates and phosphates have consistently read 0
