Is there any bacteria or algae you all know of that fits this description:
Light brown, looks slimy but doesn't have bubbles, grows upwards in strands (not in mats like cyano)
I've had this in my tank for a while now. It started on one rock but has spread to other places. It doesn't seem to grow or spread near as fast as cyano, but is disgusting to look at. If I hit it (I try to suck it out) with a turkey baster, it almost looks like oil droplets floating around in the water. Part of me thinks it may be dinos, but the fact that it doesn't have any bubbles and doesn't spread super fast like typical red cyano makes me think it might be something else.
