Can I? and should I? dip candy cane corals in revive before putting in display tank?

You should consider dipping all corals that come into your tank for pests. You may wish to consider Bayer as your dipping agent until something superior is found. Candy canes are not likely to harbor pests but nasty things can be guests on any coral Dipping always has the potential to harm your coral but Bayer has seemingly been reasonably kind. Regardless of the cost of the coral, I believe the benefit of preventative measures like dipping outweighs the risk

Protection for your safety should be done as well with any potentially hazardous or dangerous chemical or insecticide.

I am new to this and have a question. When you mention bayer do mean a crushed up aspirin in the water or something. I know it is probably a stupid question but I only learn by asking. Thanks for bearing with the un informed.

What watchguy123 is talking about is the Bayer brand home defense bug spray (I Think)

Just search Bayer home defense in RC and it should pull a lot of talk about it. I currently use CoralRx but I'm going to look more into the Bayer insecticide.

Bayer > coral rx
10ml bayer in cup of water works great 10- 15min for sps for me. Just ensure its the exact bottle your suppose to get nothing else. A pic is on the thread somewhere.

Its a lot cheaper. I've used it. Their is a youtube video. Just be sure to rinse.
