dipping corals

For fresh frags that I know dont have anything on them I use just revive, it is an antisceptic and work well in preventing infections.

For Bugs the Bayer dip is the best, remember it will take multiple dips to kill eggs on your coral but a single dip should suffice for anything alive.

CoralRX, Seachem Dip and all the other are also fine I would assume, I just havent had the need for them thankfully.

Lastly, for tougher coral, when targeting algae, a hydrogen peroxide/water mixture seems to work very well on algae.

Any coral going in my tank gets coralrx, whether it be sps, zoa or lps, and try your best to remove coral from plug and transplant. 1 yr and counting with no problems.

Sonic I like your idea of removing the coral from the plug and remounting it to another. Naturally this would get rid of eggs from AEFWs.

Another thought is to maybe use a soft bristle tooth brush. Anyone tried this on the bases of the plugs, sides of plugs and underside of plugs?
