Dipping Zoanthids

Never been big on zoas, but am putting together a small garden in my 50 cube.

I know Lugol's is a popular dip for zoanthids, but I just picked up some zoa frags and no Lugol's on hand. Is CoralRx too harsh for zoas?

Any other dipping methods recommended?

Thanks in advance.

5ish mL with 2cups of water for 10ish minutes. Mixing well at the start at occasionally thereafter with a turkey baster. Double rinse in tank water prior to putting in the tank. I've done it with zoas and mushrooms with great success. I know a lot of others have done it with LPS and SPS, there a few things you can't use it with however.

It's cheap and easy to get, that's why I use it, because it's the opposite of just about everything else in this hobby.

I'm assuming you want a "dipping solution" for new zoas, to kill unwanted pests and pathogens.
Coral Rx isn't too hard on zoas when used according to their instructions.
I prefer not to depend in a product, although it works, as many people testify.

Bayer works well, and many people will tell you that.
I didn't try it myself yet, but Ive got a bottle to try out next time.

There is hydrogen peroxide also, but I normally use (~10% H2O2 - 90% tank water) to eliminate algae on new zoas. Hydrogen peroxide works very good on pests too.

Lugol's is just great, but unfortunately doesn't harm algae!

Each dipping method helps with different things.

Grandis.
