With all the pests their are for sps, zoanthids, and lps I wanted to know if their are any pests for anemones?

I am about to get a rose bubble tip anemone and just wanted to know before I add it to my new tank.

Thanks for the help

Anemones should be treated like other inverts and not corals. They are sensitive to copper based meds. I wouldn't dip one in anything, a drip acclimation should be fine. Try not to put the water that the anemone was transfered in to the tank.

What if the nem was in the bag for <1 hour? I only get my nems from my LFS and after acclimation, just dump the begged water into my system. Is that bad? I have alway check my water parameters, and they are always excellent. I have no problems with dumping te water in, but maybe thats because I don't feel like paying the $35 livestock shipping fee...

I don't add water from any lfs into my tank. How often do you see dead fish at a lfs? How do you know another anemone didn't die and release some toxins into the water? Not really sure, I don't trust the water that's in a lfs. That's why I just take the extra care to just dump it.
