Dirty Saltwater from water changes

Used saltwater is excellent for the culture of Brine shrimp.If you can let it stand for about two weeks then add 1/4 teaspoon of bleach stir let stand after for about 5 days .Hatch Brine Shrimp eggs in another jar. After hatching siphon young directly into this mix feed ground marine flakes every 4 days.

Very interesting, did not know this, but why the bleach??

as the salt leaches into the soil it will kill your lawn. It does depend on the type of grass for how sensitive it will be to it.

but it also causes root damage and increases risk of disease.

If your lawn is of the "salt tolerant" type of grass and you spread your water out you may not notice a difference for years.

oh.. and for killing weeds, yes, you'll need to let the water evaporate for awhile first..

2:1 water to salt ratio -so you'll need to let it basically all evaporate.

However, if you just dump your salt water in the same spot all year round for awhile I'm sure nothing will grow there eventually. But I wouldn't expect results quickly.
