Disaster, advice please!!!

I recently treated my tank with flatworm exit and now I've got problems. I have lost three fish and my large red monti looks like it may be beginning to bleach. I ran two bags of carbon after dosing and siphoned out quite a few of the flatworms after they died. Then I did about a 20% water change a few hours later and another 20% water change a day later.

Soon after I noticed that my blue tang had whit spots on him along with my yellow tang. It looked like ich (not sure on spelling) to me. My blue tang was dead the next morning. Then out of nowhere my two clowns died the next day and not my yellow tang has died as well. All I have left is my coral beauty and as of now I think he looks like he might survive. I checked all of my levels and they seem to be fine.

Anyways, I'm trying to stabalize the tank now and make sure the coral beauty survives. Any suggestions?

Also I would like to repopulate my tank once I get this problem fixed. Will ich always be a problem for me since it is always going to be in the tank?

Thanks for the info in advance.

I'm no expert but I would change the carbon again and do more water changes. I would keep changing the carbon every few days until things settle down. How big is a bag of carbon?

You must have had ich all along and hte stress just made it flare up on the fish. I have had it for years and it's only an isssue with new fish. If they have a healthy slime coat they are less likely to be overcome from it. I have read that the only wat to get rid of it is to go fishless for several months or start from scratch and QT everything before adding them to the tank.

If you have rocks in the tank you might have had large quantities of flatworms die and pollute the water. I also read where that some types release toxins when they die.

Hope that helps

Ya, I think there must have been quite a few more flatworms in there than I expected. I think the ich was introduced when I added to blue tang to the tank about a year ago. I came down with a mild case of ich, but he fought through it and became perfectly healthy. Then it struck back a year later to take out both my tangs and both my clowns.
