alright, so in my 20 gallon reef tank.. it is pretty much established.. but the nitrates is still a little high...

but i put a scooter blenny in their and its doing so gr8.. i had it for 2 months...

but now.... i decided to get 2 maroon clowns ... and they did well for 2 days, until the next day... they died.. and all this white stuff was on em.. and the night b4, it looks like its fin were like melting...
i dont think its my sebae anemone, cuz clowns have protection to that so what do u think it is..

so i decided to get my water checked at my LFS and they sed it was ok... while at the pet store, i spotted 2 cute clarkii so i bought em...

now, its been 2 days... and the thing is happening again.. their fin is like melting and their eyes are turning white..

i need help with my new tank...

P.S. the whole tank has been establish for 4 months...
and my 55 gallon tank is doing gr8...

It could be broooklynella which is very common in clownfish. Are there any other fish in the tank? Do you quarantine Before adding a new fish? The best treatment for brooklynella is a series of formalin dips, one every third day for a total of three dips is the safest way to go.

I agree with Terry. It sounds very much like your fish have Brooklynella and formalin bathes are the way to go.

Tagging along here, I am having a hard time finding formalin locally by itself. I assume the dip for brooklynella is straight formalin no copper or anything else. Am I corrects?

In some areas formalin is available at a pharmacy (formaldehyde). You may have to explain what you are using it for because it is highly toxic. I don't mix it with any other medications and I only use it in a dip (45 minutes well aerated at 20 drops per gallon).
