Today I found my male flame wrasse looking pretty beat up. His mouth worries me, It looks white. His left eye is slightly cloudy and his body is somewhat lacking color. He didnt come up to eat when I fed the tank and he is Always the first fish to come eat. Often nipping at my finger to get to the food. Even as of 9pm lastnight, ate well and looked fine. Now he is just hovering against the back glass.
One of his females is showing similar marks on the mouth also. She ate and body wise looks ok.
I dont have any experience with diseases really. I dont know if this is cotton mouth or the result of fighting wounds...
I do know there is some aggression going in the tank right now. This morning it seemed kind of bad. Mostly my 3" Interruptus and 3.5" mimic tang picking on just about everyone. The mimic and flame wrasse trio have been in here since July and the Interruptus was the last fish added to the tank on Dec 11th. The interruptus was pretty timid at first but seems to be taking over as tank boss.
I watched both wrasses get chased today by both the angel and the tang. I have seen a nip here and there before in the past but nothing like this... actuall chasing across the tank.
All other fish ate and look just fine.
