Disease

Made a post a day or two ago but I want to be 100% certain on what the disease is that wiped out 2 clowns and a kole tang. I suspected Brook but it could be velvet?

Not sure if the image link will work but I attached a photo as well. This was 36-48hours after first signs of disease on him.

I failed my fish because I didn't quarantine, I now have one almost fully set up but based on what this disease is I would like to know if it should be hyposalinity or regular 1.026 and some more advice on what to do. Once I get some biologics going Im pulling my longnose hawk, 2 purple firefish, and a red coris wrasse. All of those 4 fish are still visibly 100% healthy(I know they might be sick) but I need to fallow my main display so I can restock properly and not fail my fish or myself (I feel horrible).

In all honesty it's impossible to diagnose any disease based on photos. Slides need to be done, examination under microscope, and an examination of the dead organism. However, this is also not possible for most people. Luckily the treatment for brook and marine velvet are about the same and most treatments for parasites such as ich, velvet, etc, overlap.
The best thing you can do is learn from your mistakes and try to come up with a prevention plan. But understand, even that won't be 100% fool proof.

In terms of behavior they were pretty normal until the disease was all over they ate up until they day they passed(didn't eat that day). I didn't see them rubbing themselves on rocks or anything. Rapid breathing and being pretty stationary at the bottom of the tank. Went to a low flow area and just kinda sat there. As for my QT is hypo worth running or should I just go reg 1.026?
