I am going to make a display refugium for my soon to be 75 reef tank. The 75 tank will have a skimmer, sump and other types of filtration. The display refugium would be a 10 gallon tank, if necessary i would move up to a 20 display refugium
because I want this/these animals to thrive not just survive. Thank you .

So what's your question ?

I have a "display sump". Instead of installing a skimmer in the middle chamber it has two rock anemones and an aggressive maze brain that was stinging everything in the main display tank.

Sorry if I was not clear :), just wondering whats types inverts/animals I could keep in a display refugium

A refugium is, by nature, a refuge for animals from disturbance or predation by the residents of the display tank. It's not a second display tank, or somewhere you would normally put animals you would put in a display. So you have two choices:

1) Stop putting anything in it for display.

2) Stop calling it a refugium and call it a second display, micro display, frag tank, parlor tank or whatever. :)

We're going to put our mantis in ours since it's in our main tank and I don't want him causing issues when he gets older. I'm sure you'll find all sorts of misfit hitch-hikers to put in as well as a place to keep fish that may be getting picked on. I would go with a 20 L if you have a choice. A little bit more room for a fish if it needs to go into there.

I have a display refugium as seen in my avatar.
All you should put in it is a good fine substrate some LR rubble, a ball of cheato, and whatever other macroalgae you decide on.

Then just sit back and watch the copepods, amphipods and worms take over.
Refugiums are very interesting to watch.
