Display tank empty.. except for pesky damsel

Hey there

I recently had a blue tang with an infection of ich. I moved him and my two clownfish out of the tank into a QT and they've been there for a day. The only fish left in my DP is a blue damsel that I can't catch for the life of me. He seems very, very healthy and shows no sign of ich. Do blue damsels typically contract ich? Is it okay if I leave him in there while the other fish chill out in the QT for a month and a half? Or do I have to rip all of my live rock out and catch him that way?

Thanks for any help.

Unfortunately, damsels get ich just like other fish. You absolutely have to remove him otherwise the ich most likely wont ever leave the tank...

Do a search on catching fish. There are several methods of doing this. One is to drain entire tank water into clean trash barrels. Another one that works well is -go fishing..get the smallest hook and line you can get from the store and bait and catch your little problem...There also fish traps, but Damsel as you can see are very quick...

Thanks for the good info. I finally bit the bullet and removed all the live rock in the tank, then put it back in. Even with one rock left, I didn't know whether he had jumped out or not because he was so hard to find. But anyway, he's in the QT with the others. Hopefully these 6 weeks will go by without a fatality.
