dissolving cured silicone rubber

Does acetone or other solvent dissolve cured silicone rubber?

I want to clean an epoxy coated plywood tank of silicone rubber used for glueing powerheads onto epoxy.

Only particularily nasty chemicals will break down cured silicone sealant. GE recommends mineral spirits & elbow grease for silicone removal:

I've always just used multiple passes with a razor blade on glass, never tried to remove silicone from any other materials.

I just saw a silicone dissolving solvent at ACE by 3M I believe. It was a tiny bottle and about $10. Not sure I want that around my tank, so I ditto the razor blades and elbow grease.
