It has been an eye opening experience this journey from a sterile glass cage to the amount of life that has appeared over the last few months! Creatures seem to magically appear from the rock! I had a dusting of green Algae, I held back from messing with it and it is turning purple. 2 porcelain crabs that I certainly didn't put in there on purpose! Bristle-worms, pods, Bristle Stars. I studied these forums and in particular those "stickies" by Waterkeeper and things have gone well. I have learned that patience is a great habit to form! it is a virtue seldom found in a Woman and never found in a Man! Staring into the tank for hours has become a great stress relief for me, my job creates a mountain of stress. I guess I just want to thank everyone here for the advice and tips that they have given freely whether directly or indirectly, this has already been a very rewarding hobby and I look forward to seeing this thing I have helped create mature over the next few months and years. Thanks again guys!

5 days a week I supervise a prison shift, stress and I are well acquainted, I tried the old "have a drink to relax" that created it's own stress! this tank has been a Godsend, I am glad I got back into the hobby after so many years away.

I work in the same field.. I know how incredibly hard and stressful our choice of career can be. I'm right with you regarding the relaxation my tank provides.
