awesome pics as usual bud.

I too had a real hard time blasting the fox flame in PAR. kept bleaching out. now have it around 300 par and its much happier, still could probably lower more in my tank at least.

I wish I could place the MP40s that low, having a sand bed makes it nearly impossible.

Yeah, when I first started out with sand I had to have them mounted just above halfway and turned down to 50%. I love BB, it just doesn't look as nice as sand.

How are you dealing with PO4?

I run BRS HC GFO in a reactor. I use 8 Tbsp changed out 1x/month. Last summer my phosphate was dropping a bit lower than I liked so I reduced it, then took it offline completely and ran no GFO for about 6 months. It was ok for a while, but then started going higher than I wanted, hitting a high of 0.1717.

Some people deal with it with Chaeto or ATS. For me it works best with GFO.

Yes I currently have a fuge and I can't seem to keep it where I want. Some have said that gfo is hard on your corals. I'm guessing you use it very lightly. Turn off and on as needed...

I run it 24/7. IMO stable phosphate/Nitrate has more to do with tank age and if the biome is seasoned. How old is your tank?
