Nice Work! Are you going to put some nice molding around the edges of the ply-board?

Probably not, it looks pretty bad with the flash, but when it's under normal lighting it looks pretty even and just black.

Here's some pics of the tank with the base and background. The tank is a little cloudy I was moving some sand and rock work a bit. Corals and fish will start this weekend (hopefully).

So here my next question... If this were your tank and based on the current conditions, lighting, filtration etc... How would you stock this tank? Corals, fish, inverts etc... I want to get as many ideas as I can. Let me know your thoughts and as an incentive if we get a proposal we end up going with, I'll send you some SPS frags for free (you pay for shipping method of your choice)... What do you say?

few ideas come up, have either green star polyps only or green star polyps with xenia. put little bits of gsp all on the rocks and let them grow in. set up a wave maker power outlet for your pumps. this way your tank looks like a feild of grass flowing with stalks of xenia pulsing away. both corals are usualy easy and fast growing. then id think a few clown gobys or neon gobys would look good if you had a group.

another idea, put macro algaes and some soft coral of some kind and sea horses or other unusual fish. if you can install a lid, a snowflake eel would be sweet.
if you want fire fish, make sure you have a lid! i didnt think i would need one and one day firefish was missing. guess where i found him :)

this tank might look realy good with simplicity. xenia would give good motion, gsp does look good with flow. yellow polyps are one of my favorites that i have in my tank plus they grow faster than my xenia.
good fish have been mentioned. i like the small gobys or even damsels.
i havent seen tulip anemones in person but i saw a colony of them in a picture. i wonder if a massive colony of them would be attactive.
i want to make a tank like this now lol.

Alright guys got some fish in it this week. Pics are still to come, but so far my buddy put in a red firefish, a purple firefish, and a coral beauty. A small devils hand frag, a couple zoo frags and a some striped mushrooms. For giggles we are trying a purple digitata and a green slimer just to see how they do under VHO's.

man i wish you were my friend, you could build me these...nice stuff. Your damn threads take up too much of my time. I have to read ALL of them!!

nice stuff man

LOL!!! Thanks bro, if you want something custom and are willing to pay for the acrylic, shipping, and a little of my time, I'm willing to see if I can build it... Not trying to make a living with it by any means but just hook up a few people with some wicked nano's. :) Let me know if you have some ideas.

Awsome

Awsome

I've read though all your tank building threads.... I think, honestly I've never seen better designs... you should write a book or make a training video!

Thanks! I don't think I'm in any position to write a book as I'm just a hobbiest. :) I hope to start making custom nano's in the near future though.

ok now that just looks mad sick bro. nice job. add some fish and maybe some zoos and you are perfect.

Thanks, I still owe you guys some updated pics... Sorry it's tough to meet up with my buddy and remember to bring my camera at the same time. :( He's got a couple zoo colonies, as well as some mushrooms a purple digitata (not sure how it's doing) and a couple other I don't recall... The fish are listed above and I'm eagar to see how they are doing as well.

Is 14gals. maybe a little small for a coral beauty? I thought I heard that even the small centropyge need a pretty big aquarium.
