diy 54g corner stand/canopy?

im setting up probabally a 54g corner for a family friend. i want to make the nicest setup possible with a budget of $500. so that leaves the stand and canopy up to diy... if anyone has made a stand and canopy diy i would love to see pics of your design and how you did the curve. also is there a center brace on the tank?
