Any good DIY plans outthere for bowfront stands? I am not planning to have sump so stand doesn't need much space. Any links or any info would be very helpful.

I kind of like the one SA posted ;)

mine is a 46G, but construction for a 72G woudl be the same, except you might want a center brace for a 4' span...

I fit a 15G sump in mine that i decided to add later on, so ther eis a fair amount of space inside, and worst case it had enough room to store all my test kits, salt bucket, food, supplements, and other random stuff until i adde the sump :)

I am currently building a stand for my 72 bow. I followed the same basic method, but added some additional reinforcement under the front edge of the plywood. Basically, i cut a 2x10 to the curve of the bow mounted it to the rest of the frame. I was afraid the plywood would bend other wise.

I can't take all teh credit - i got a fair amount of help from another member who built a similar stand for his 90G corner (i think it was a 90...) I just had more time to document my build so that others could benifit from the ideas.

I always welcome more ideas and modifications to the design, as it kind of evolved as it was built. also, i never did modify my doors to a design i was 100% happy with, he ones on there do the job and i think i'll use the extra material I had to build a stand for a 10G mangrove swamp and to hide my topoff and supplement containers :)
