the mods i did to my 24g aquapod are. i switched the actinic and daylight bulb spots. so that when actinics come on first and go off after the daylight the fans will be on to. 2x maxi-jet 900's one with hydor flo and other with loc-line returns / 2x 60mm Vantec Stealth fans / and this morning i did 2x 50mm cyber cooler fans on the lid. i allready had them so i used them for now but i am gonna buy 2x 50mm evercool fans. the reason for doing the fan mod on the lid is because i have the temp going from 80 to 82 i would like to try and get the tank stay a constant 78 or 80 before the fan mod today i would keep the feeding lid open and keep a fan blowing at the tank and that way it would stay 78-79. so i figured why dont i just put 2 fans on the feeding lid and have them flow air in. also the temp in the room is about 76-77. well here is some pics of the mod. i still need to go to walmart today and get a ac/dc 12v power supply to power the fans. so right now i have the feeding lid open.

first i marked where i wanted the fans i then did a x inside the square for my center point its done in pen cant be seen in the pic.

ill post more pics when i get them powered up. also they are gonna be on the same timer as the actinic lights so they will be on and off at the same time

ok i went to walmart and bought a ac/dc 3v-12v 600mA power adaptor. i have it running both fans at 9v for slower fans speed at 12v they have lots flow but i like the flow 9v of power gives them. they have been on the tank for about 30 mins and the temp has dropped from 80.1 to 79.5 heres some pics

NIce...
Could you put the fan on the inside on the Lid....
That way they stick out less...

BUT still its a nice Mod.. :)

yea you can use it to power thoes fans. but you wont need the little electric board just wire the fan strait to the power adaptor.

here are some FTS pics. also the fan mod is doing great i had to plug the heater on the tank back in because the temp was dropping. so i plugged the 50watt stealth heater back in and the tank stays a constant 80. im gonna try to adjust the heater so i can get the tank to sit at 78 constant.

heres some FTS pics
