DIY Fan switch?

Anyone have a link to a DIY solution to turn my fan ON when the temp reaches 82 degrees? Similar to the device that Icecap uses to control their fans?.

Detroit..... Here we come.

If you mean the air inside your canopy reaching a certain temp then you could get by with almost any thermostat for household A/C.
Just mount it inside the canopy and use the output wires to switch a relay to power your fans only when the temp reaches the desired level.

There are also so PC fans that have a built in temp controller but they are not adjustable. I believe they reach 100% at 92 degrees. They are variable speed starting at 78 degrees.

If you want something to sense the water temp then you will need a different setup. I have seen some DIY threads about sealing the temp senser from an A/C thrermostat and dropping the probe into the water to kick the fans on and off.

Good luck.
