DIY Frag Plugs?

So I'm thinking of giving DIY a hand. Unless someone else has a better idea or a source for them. I just can't fork over $15 for a small bag at AC [I'll support them with most all my other purchases however. :-)]. Any suggestions and or sources where I can find them inexpensive?

Also while I'm at it what the best method to frag some zoas and other soft corals from my rock IN the tank? I virtually can't get the zoa rock out but it's definitely time from some pruning. What started as a small 10-15 polyp frag from Zef has grown to a colony of well over 100 zoa's. Time to prune back on them and some more things :uzi:.

Try the Alternate Reef's micro plugs, $15 for a bag of 100 and they fit perfectly one to a single egg crate hole. Nice thing about them is you can use every hole in the egg crate so you get a very high frag density on a piece of eggcrate. A little hard to find but if you ask Scott at the AR he can hook you up.

I wonder if something at hobby lobby or something like that may work....like plaster of paris or some kind of clay without any chemicals in it................????

All you would need then are some plastic type molds of disc shapes.......
