I just wanted to share with you all my completed project this weekend. I have 2 Ocean Revive LED light fixtures and a T5 light fixture all on a 48in long 60 gallon display tank. Took me 2 weeks to think about the improvement project and 1 1/2 day to work on it.
The wire kit would not work with this wooden canopy. So, I took the sliding brackets from a computer desk, which I hardly use, and used for something more practical.
As you can see from the first pic, I originally had wooden planks and was sliding back and forth to feed the fish. Pain in the arsss.
I had to cut the 1/8" metal bars and drilled the holes to secure the light fixtures.
After dealing with the wife and catching butterflies for the 3 year old, I finally got it done.
If I had to do it all over again, I would move the brackets 2" back so the lights don't overlap over the T5s.
