I just wanted to post a couple pics of my DIY kalk reactor. I got the pvc pipe from a fellow reefer (Thanks buck50mg...
). I got the top and bottom from lowes and I had the pump and all the tubing. It holds a little over 2 gallons of water. I put a valve down low so I can empty when I am adding more kalk. I put a valve at the top and I use a funnel with a rigid hose that fits into the jg valve. The RO/DI water enters on the bottom right and exits top left. I originally was going to use the threaded plug on top to service it but it is a PITA to get on and off so I use the valve and funnel setup at the top next to it.
It kinda looks like a fire hydrant that went really wrong, but hell it works.
