Hey RC!
Before I start this off, I have pretty much 0 experience in electronics. I have been able to get a few motors running, LED's lit, and that's about it. I am up for learning, but right off the bat I won't understand electronics talk. So dumb it down for a complete beginner please

Ok!
I already have a 2 bulb T8 fixture (Manufacturer unknown, total of 78 watts.), over my 40 breeder, running a daylight bulb and a 50/50 bulb.
-I want to be able to keep soft corals, and maybe some LPS. So I need help creating a simple, cheap (ish. Under 70$ preferably, but I can spend more if need be.) LED fixture that, with help from the T8 fixture, can keep these corals.
-I would like more of a 50/50 look, so I'm guessing more in the 6500-8500K range. I don't need the ability to run the lights on any sort of controller, I basically want on and off, and the ability to dim.
-So my main questions are, what are the main components I need? Obviously I need LED's, wire, dimmer, switch/timer and a power supply. But what else?
Also, a description of how to wire it all up (safely! So it doesn't burn my house down.
) would be helpful.
Thank you!
