Are you asking if you can take "non-porous" rock and drill holes in it to make it porous? If that is the question, then no. In our context "porous" means hundreds of millions of tiny to near microscopic holes in the structure of the rock that create tremendous surface area and areboic and anerobic areas for bacteria to colonize.
