How exact do the bends have to be? Once everything is bent pretty close to how it should be, shouldn't be too hard to get together right?

Really looking at doing this since I need 3-4 of these built.

Would it not be better/easier to cut a hole in one of the sides for the mogul socket, before you rivet it together?

Seriously though, I don't know about HD, but Menards will order Velux tube extensions and I think Sola Tube too. I know Lowes used to carry Sola Tube, but I'm not 100% sure now, they stock a cheaper brand in the stores. I have some older Sola Tube extensions that have a mylar coating, with time it burned off, not a great solution. I believe they have changed the material they use.

Thats the way I did mine. But either way it still looks good and they work pretty good too. I noticed a bigger spread on mine.
