DIY Magnets

Has anyone made an algae cleaner DIY? I've found some wickedly powerful magnets lately on line for around $2 apiece and can't believe that they can't be used for a glass cleaner.

I just received 10 magnets for $26.00 to try to make up something to mount some Seios on my tank that I'm almost afraid to try to mess with. They are strong. I'll post pics when I'm done if it works out.

Magnovores are around $180 and I know the magnets can't cost more than 10 at the most.

I have some but they are too strong. If you want it big, the cost increase dramatically. No point in DIY if you're not going to be save money.

a guy on NR.com makes them, I have one on my 6 gallon, its called a Nimble, he has a few different designs, they are about 1/4 the size of a magfloat and clean awesome, plus they come in clear and other colors, mine is clear and it has 2 small magnets round magnets on the inside.
