DIY moonlight

I have a T5 retro and am looking to add some moonlights to my system. I am just curious as to what people use for moonlight in thier system.

I added them on my tank almost 3.5 years ago (http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=3536234#post3536234) and they are still going strong!

When one posts a thread they(at least I) have hopes for what others will bring. In this case your reply has exceeded what I had imagined being able to receive. I ordered two. This is great. I cant wait to get them installed. Thanks for your help!

Glad to be of service. Just trying to give back at least a fraction of what I've gotten out of the LIRA(RC) forum.

BTW, the wires are kind of thin so get some wire loom from Home Depot/Radio Shack to protect them.

Good advice will do. I just found the LIRA part of RC. I hit 3 LFS's this weekend that I didnt even know existed thanks to LIRA. The GF wasn't to thrilled but I was!

I purchased from them as well. I also have T-5's. I attached the LED's to 1" 45 degree PVC on each side of the tank and siliconed the PVC into the light fixture/canopy. They work great and are cheap.

Great Idea with the pvc. At current I am debating the addition of 2 more T5's for a total of 6 on my 90g. So for the short term I think I am going to attach them in a not so permanent manner.

Recieved the lights this weekend. They are great. Since I still dont know if I am going to add more lights to my hood I simply stuck them in there for the time being. They are excellent.
