Just want to make sure I use the right stuff to make a screen... the screen frames at lowes all seem to be made of metal. Is this what everyone else uses? No problems with corrosion?

I'm pretty sure people are using vinyl mesh as opposed to metal screen...

I have not had problems with the frames. I had one set up for 6 months with no rusting. I used the same frame on my new one.

the frame from bulk reef supply is also metal. just make sure you get small enough net. my flasher wrasse took to the air right through my 1/2" netting. luckily I was there to catch it. literally

The common frame sticks at big box stores are painted aluminum. Pretty inert. Worst case, you might get some light corrosion on the cut ends or anywhere it's scratched, etc. If that potential really bothers you, just paint the cut ends with something durable - even nail polish would work fine, and most of us either have it on hand or know someone who does.
