OK.. so I did this on my old overflow before I found out about dursos, but with the new cpr I have I could not get 2 dursos side by side in teh small area of the overflow. so I used the old mod to an extent. It will work with jsut about all overflows. I ahve attached some pics for ya.

my orig overflow was 1" pvc, and the new one has 2 1" drains. for my old one I took a 6" piece of 1.5" pvc and drilled holes all around it. then I added a cap to one end and drilled a small hole in the middle to let air escape. the old overflow had the drain that extended up to keep siphon with hte U tube. I drilled the holes to where when placed over the existing tube, they were jsut about the top of it. I ahve lost the pics of it installed, but hopefully you get the jist.

for the new one, I jsut made 2 of them out of 1" pipe and installed them where the cpr factory screens were. I guess they are about 3" tall. before I had bag gurgling, now you cannot hear it the overflow at all. the only drawback for this silencer compared to durso's is that they can get clogged with debris, but if you have the right ammt of holes, you will be ok till you clean them on weekly maint. if you drill too many holes, you will get noise, not enough and you wont handle the flow. I drilled once around and tested then drilled 8 more 3/16 holes to work for my flow.

That's a good idea, to add the holes through the cap and PVC. gives adjustability with a slight twist. That is similar to the Stockman.
