Hi reefers,

To start I'm a believer of moonlight and lunar cycle on a reef tank, I have personaly observed snails to lay eggs exactly below the blue leds of a moonlight.

When I bought the Kessil I got very happy with the great shimmer but disappointed not being able to dimm it low enough to simulate moonlights.

I came across the H2Show Blue LED - Submersible Spotlight for Aquariums, I paid 19.44 at Amazon:

This project should work fine for the gooseneck but I use the Mounting arm. Here what I used:

I have cut the H2Show power led about 2 ft from the power supply to allow the cable to go inside the mounting arm. If you have trouble to pass the cable you can use a piece of RO piping with the cable inside, it passes very easily this way.

To secure the led holder I used a thin black zip tie. I'm happy with the result, clean.

The final result:

How Kessil 360W blue looks at the minimum setting (5%), too strong right?

I hope it helps someone.
cheers

thanks, shouldn't be difficult to drill the gas pipe, cut the electrical wire, pass the wire with the help of a RO pipe :fun4: Post here the result.
