DIY skimmer, How big of a container for a sedra 9000 pump

I have a needlwheel sedra 9000 pump that could be put to good use

how big of a container do I need for the skimmer , its a pretty good size pump, 900 gph

my sumps water height will be 12 inches.

I thougth about some how altering a instant ocean 5 gallon container, but I dont know how I would go about doing that

I just saw one the other day. It was in the "Show off your diy skimmers" thread. I can't seem to find it right now, but it wasn't more than a week ago.
