i just finished my venturi for an oceanrunner 2700. its a 3/4" tube that has a fiitin the at gives it a 3/8" hole for water to go through followed by a air inlet. well when i turn my pump on there are hardly andy bubbles or water. the pump is making a cavitating sound. once i partially put my finger over the airline much more flow and bubbles. so i asume im getting to much air. should i just put a needle valve on the airline? or build a new venturi?

It sounds like you are on the right track. I would attach a 1/4" ID hose to that bad boy with a small ball valve.

Can you post a pic of what ya got?

Worst case scenario, you may want to replace that restricting fitting with a 1/2" one. By doing that, you will get less restriction = more water flow and likely more air to boot. 3/8" may be just be restricting it too much.

So you are using a 3/8" air hose to your venturi? If so, yeah I'd bet that's why it's choking on too much air. I'd bet if you use 1/4" ID hose to the venturi it will do much better.

It wouldn't hurt to try using a 1/2" fitting for your restriction instead of 3/8" and see if that helps even more.
