DJ Power Strip/Wiring Issue

My power center has the power strips on the right side and the outlets (16) to the left side. Each strip is plugged into its own 20A circuit breaker. My problem is that if I plug in the two strips into the GFCI's and turn on all the switches and check with th three prong plug checker (the kind that light to tell you if its wired correct or not) everything reads good and correct. However if I plug anything into the outlets and turn it on it trips the GFCI, but if I plug the same thing directly into the GFCI it works fine and there is no trip. The only thing I can think of is that the GFCI thinks that there is no common ground on my power center outlets and trips when something is plugged in.

I used 12 guage computer server cables I had laying around to wire the outlets, one end it 3 pring and plugs into the strip the other has a blue (ground), brown (hot), green (neutral).

Any help in getting this thing to stop tripping would be wonderful.
