dKH of hypo water

What dKH do you keep your hypo water at? Should people be bumping it up to at least 7?

It's good to bring it to 7 so that pH can be stable, otherwise a large swing in pH can stress fish.

i'm curious why none of the hypo threads have mentioned that... or maybe I just missed it. makes logical sense. i used to do hypo and only had 50% or worse luck with fish surviving, and have started to wonder now if that was part of the issue.
