Are there any other lfs than Adams or Iowa pet foods? I just bought a 75g w/overflow and lighting from Adams, but still need everything else (skimmer,sand,live rock,return pump,heater,fuge). I wanted to know if there are any other good shops to check out. I am making another trip to dsm today and would like to shop around a bit.

Petco on 8th street across from Wal-mart, Petco next to Southridge mall off of SE 14th and the Petco in Jordan Creek Mall area next to Best-Buy off of Jordan Creek Pkwy.
Unfortunately, that's about it.
There were a lot of people selling live rock on this forum for quite some time. Maybe someone has some that they will sell you for a good deal. The LFS rock is rather overpriced. I'd rather buy it online.

In my opinion, you would do much better to purchase anything online than buying stuff from Adam's or Iowa Pet. Those places try to charge $45 for a maxijet you can get online for $18. Their corals are all very subpar and overpriced. There are many trusted online retailers for anything you could need. You will spend less, receive better service, deal with more knowledgable staff, and have more options when you buy online. I suggest, marinedepot.com liveaquaria.com and premiumaquatics.com At the very least look through those sites and familiarize yourself with the products and prices. Then go to those local places and make an informed choice.

Not sure if he decided to sell or keep his live rock, but if he does want to sell, you couldn't beat this stuff for $2.50 a pound......... I bought around 30# and wish I could have afforded more!
