do clams move

just bought a t.maxima from a fellow reefer just wondering, do they move or rotate if they are not happy where they are

I would also add that they will move in response to the substrate below them and their happiness with it. That has been my experience. They can be uncomfortable with the way they sit on a particular rock, lack of something they want to attach to or an irritant.

thanks for the response guys, yeah i notice my clam move just wanna make sure they didin't get bump by snails or something
 
They move like ninjas. One morning you will wake and they will have moved! You canno't track their masterful movements - they are like the wind. :D
