Do emerald crabs need to be put into QT

I was wondering if i needed to put emerald crabs and other inverts in the QT tank or if they are fine to throw right into my main tank?

many will argue this point.... but I just throw them in. Give them a good visual inspection and observe their behavior in the LFS's tank, then if all looks well, just chunk them in. I don't however add the water any livestock comes with.

I've put them in before without QT and never had a problem. But, to be safe everything really should be QT before going in the tank.

Just acclimate them really well and like was previously said, inspect them carefully and toss any water that came with them.

It all depends on how strictly you want to adhere to quarantining things. If you're not going to quarantine any corals, then don't bother quarantining any inverts. You can get bad stuff that hitch hikes on corals, so I would guess that it could ride in on the shells of snails and crabs, but I don't know for sure.
