I have a Two Spot that is now a one spot. It looks like one of his dorsal fins were bitten clean off.
He is in a hospital tank with two clowns, a Majestic, a Flame Hawk, and a Skipper. I just lost my Flame Angel the night before. But she didn't have any visible scars, so I chalked it up to the Cupramine. I did a 5 gallon before work, a 15 gallon at lunch, and a 15 gallon before I went to bed in a 50 gallon tank. So the cupramine is at very low levels at this point.
The only thing that I can think happend is that he sometimes floats around the tank at night. My two suspects are the clowns or the Majestic. He could have gotten in the middle of the two clowns. I have never seen any aggression out of the Majestic.
Anyway, the base of where the fin used to be is pinkish/reddish. I threw in some Maracyn-Two before I left for work to try and prevent any infection. Will it grow back? Should I have used the Maracyn? He was eating very well this morning. I hope he makes it.
