seen flame angelfish at lfs was curious if there good fish to have, very bright colored red nice lookin fish would they do good with tangs, sixline wrasse, cleaner wrasse, clownfish, and different inverts & corals.

I had one with about the same mix as you for several years without any problems and I plan on getting another eventually. That said, I have also heard people speak out against them. See what the rest have to say but I think they're ok.

From what I have heard, if you can get a specimen that was collected in good condition, then the chances are a lot higher it will survive. Pygmy angelfish need a diet with both algae and meaty foods, they also do better in larger tanks with lots of liverock so they can graze.

He he, he he. He said 420.

pygmy angels in general are hit and miss when it comes to being safe...I have heard of some eating clams and Fade32 recently had to remove his Eibli from his 450 because it was sampling all of his SPS.

Jack is SLASH tried and true...hell, wasn't he one of the founding fathers of this all-male dominated reef club:lol:

As for the being hip part, I can not vouch for him...but the old geezer part is true:D

I've had a Flame Angel for two years or so now along with a Yellow Tang, Clowns and Damsels. The only problem I've had is that it loves to eat the silver colored variety of Xenia. It will eat it till it is all gone. It has nipped a few times at pink Xenia and Yellow Star Polyps, but has left everything else pretty much alone.

Howie....everyone slums from time to time...I mean you live in Ballwin, you know what I mean. LOL

Dave, I still have both of my original hips, that is about as hip as it gets. I think Capo has had one replaced though, gotta watch out for those old bones. :D
