do frogs poop lil bright green berries?

Lucky for me my frog is down low so there r no corals below it. The berries just fall down on sand. Well I hate to say it but the berries have vanished after almost 2 weeks. I was really hoping that they would grow into a frog.

My torch has always done this as well; and yes they do sting; and no they never grow, but I do believe this is a sign of increasing growth for the coral itself.

Hey Kelly, long time no see.

My torch and frogspawn would both drop pieces of tentacles, and both were growing very well, and healthy.

The pieces never developed into anything; I never saw any settle or grow. Most of the time they floated around and got stuck in an intake, or fish would nibble at them. A form of defense, or reproduction mechanism, I don't really know, but I really don't think it's any sign of ill health.

I believe that anemones can do it on occasion as well.

I have had Ricordea do the same thing but those eventually did grow, am just wondering if in the wild the hammers do grow from the droppings

Very common. Nothing to worry about. My frog does it all the time. But it might be a good idea to keep an eye on other corals just to make sure they dont get stung by the tips that fall off.
