hey i was reading the sticky but sorta still not sure if i have 2 true pairs of clowns in my 20 gallon nano tank. Anyway, they all seem to coexist and are happy together, i got the first 2 bout 3 weeks after i got my tank, and the 2nd to i got 4 weeks after i bought my tank. Anyway, the first 2 usually sleep in the back corner, ive seen the big female (who im certain is female) rush the other one and shimmy the male. The 2nd 2 how ever, im not really fully certain if they are a pair, but they seem to share an anemone together, so i think they are, but i dont see alot of pair bonding (maybe a few times not sure). Whats funny is at night the other male will come over from the corner pair, and mingle with the other pair, and in other cases, the dominant one from the anenome pair, will swim with the corner pair sometimes in a trio (dont see this that much). Ive also seen the male from the corner pair come and steal the anemone at night. Anyway, ill post some pics up but from what ive said does anyone think i have 2 true pairs of clowns?

These are the clowns that host anemone at night -

IMO, you have 2 more clowns in that tank then you should.

In time one of those pairs might start to spawn, and odds are they will kill the other two.

I'd draw another and go for the full house.

tee he he he... funny

get it - a poker hand - you said you had 2 pair?

thanks for the welcome. they seem to all get along well, i think if one pair did spawn theyd just shew the other pair away, but that sort of goes back to my question, i wasnt really sure if the 2 in the anemone had really paired up yet. i think its ok really, because they both have their territories defined at night, during the day they all seem to swim around fine and explore the tank, with the littlest one hosting/guarding the anemone. anyway, if something did go wrong like that and one started biting the other, i should be able to get him out in time before anything became fatal, cuz im right beside the tank most the time.
