Do I have a pair?

Does anyone know if I have a pair of maroon clowns? They have been in my tank together since the end of May to early June. One has started to become dark and larger while the other has almost grown none. They big one still nips at the small one every once in a while but at night they swim together by one of the pumps. Does anyone know if this is a pair yet?

Jubbers, all clownfish have different time schedules when it comes to laying eggs. Some prefer the morning, some prefer the afternoon and some at night. My pair of clarkii usually spawns around 6:00 p.m. when the lights are still on. However, you are right about the eggs hatching at night. Babies hatch when lights go out.
