Do I have Ich?

I've only had my tank for 5 months. 3 of my fish are scratching themselves up against the filter and rocks. I can see on the blue tang a little white area. It looks more like powder is on him. I can't see anything on the clown or the black damsel, but there all scratching themselves. Is this Ich? or something else, maybe??? Need some experienced advise :D

Are these fish in a twenty nine gallon and how much rock?

About 11 rocks (a couple of small ones), in which 6 are the figi rocks...

This is what it looks like on the tang...the clown and the damsel just itch themselves....it's definitely not ich, because it's not spots. I will talk to my local fish guy and try the formalin bath. Thank you guys for your help...

I'd be leaning more towards marine velvet. In any case it needs immediate treatment. See the stickies at the top of the Marine disease forum for more info.

Ahhhh, that Tang needs a 6 ft tank, it can grow to be 1' ...unless of course it dies within a year due to STRESS! This happens to fish who are kept in tanks entirely to small..You need a larger tank or you need to find 'Dori' a new home. You won't have to worry about her health, she won't live long in a 29:rolleyes:

The guy at the fish store said he'd be ok. He just wouldn't grow as big as he could????

Please don't go back to that store! I guess in a way its true, it won't grow to its full 1' in length because it will die prematurly:( I don't think your's will last 6 months. It is very stressful for the fish.
